Key information

‘Marsden Garden Angel is how some Marsden folk know me, from the banner on my bright pink hi-viz vest when they've seen me working at Burial Ground side, the footpath leading to Manchester Road, the Tenter Posts, just off Warehouse Hill Road or Marsden Park.

Not really an angel, for in truth, I just do what I want, when I want, it's very much about the pleasure of making a 'grot spot' look great. It’s also all about a communal spirit and from time to time other angels have joined me, either in person or in attitude. They've flown down and cut the tenter posts' lawn, or made some compost corales or quietly left a donation of plants or bulbs.

So if you feel as I do, that we can bless our own backyard, it will be heavenly if you’d like to join me sometime for some weeding, planting and pruning. No set times. No meetings. No committee. Whenever the spirit takes us - but I will post on the Facebook groups to let you know when that might be!’
