Parking in Marsden

Key information

Parking for cars in Marsden is currently undergoing comprehensive review in order to address its impact on congestion and the quality of experience for pedestrians.  

At present on-street parking is widely available but the centre and near the station fill up very quickly, so a short walk to those destinations should be in your plans.  

Most important is to park considerately to avoid blocking dropped kerbs, pedestrian movement, essential deliveries and private access points etc.  

Peel Street is vital for shopping so please do not park there for long stay.

Long and short term parking off-street is limited to the old Goods Yard adjacent to Marsden Station (pictured above) and this is the official parking site for visits to Tunnel End. The first two hours are free but then modest charges apply for any longer stay.  

There are plans for additional off-street parking in the pipeline, but timing is uncertain and likely to be accompanied by reduction or restriction of some on-street parking.
