What Matters to Marsden

Timeline: 2022 onwards

Lead contacts: Luc Bride (Active Citizens and Places Officer, Kirklees) and Gary Godolphin

Key information

In 2022 volunteers from community organisations across Marsden, coordinated by the Marsden Community Trust and supported by Colne Valley Ward Councillors and Kirklees Council staff, had conversations with local residents, businesses and community groups about life in Marsden.

In 2023, further conversations were held to discuss the results of What Matters to Marsden and to prioritise what is important to local people.

In 2024 the community were co-produced an action plan based on the engagement results.

You can see the results of all the engagement periods and take a look at the action plan on the What Matters to Marsden website.
