New Mills redevelopment

Timeline: Ongoing (subject to Planning Consent)

Lead contacts: John Edward Crowther Ltd

Key information

The mill complex that sits between Brougham Road and the River Colne in Marsden’s village centre is being redeveloped with the financial support of the Government’s Levelling Up Fund.

The mix of commercial, retail and housing, with significant new public realm and de-culverting of the river, is expected to act as an economic stimulus to Marsden’s regeneration and restore a sense of life and vitality at the centre.

Considerable emphasis has been placed on the conservation of the distinctive heritage architecture, benefitting the wider Conservation Area.
