Key information
The Blueprint is a strategic regeneration masterplan, commissioned by Kirklees Council in 2025 and produced by consultants in close collaboration with the Marsden community.
It took the findings of the What Matters to Marsden community questionnaire as the generator of a brief and broad aspirations for how the community would like to see Marsden develop in the medium term.
Ideas are debated first by Marsden Community Partnership, comprising Council and representatives of local groups and businesses, then tested by wider community engagement.
Environmental improvements will integrate with the new rail station and New Mills redevelopment.
