Key information
We are a traditional pub screening sports events on a daily basis with four large TV screens.
Our staff are warm and friendly and our clientele ranges from 18 to 80. Everyone is welcome, including well-behaved children and dogs.
We have a large beer garden at the back and a seating terrace at the front. We also have discos every Saturday night and our pool table, jukebox and slot machine are available to use whenever we’re open.
We may not serve food, but we have an extensive snack selection. You are also welcome to bring food with you to have with a drink.
At the Shakespeare, we’re about bringing people together and everyone having a good time.
Please note wheelchair access is possible, but only via the pub’s rear door.
Useful to know
Regular events: We screen all Sky/TNT/Prime sports channels. Every month, our Saturday discos alternate between DJ Phil doing karaoke (week 1), DJ Ady doing 60s to modern (week 2), DJ Tima doing 80s (week 3) and DJ Razz doing ‘rave with a twist’ (week 4).
