Marsden – a gem of a West Yorkshire village in the South Pennines

Welcome to the Marsden Village Directory, a comprehensive guide to many of the businesses, groups and activities, community hubs and annual events that help make our characterful village what it is.

This site’s been designed with both residents and newcomers in mind.

If you’re lucky enough to live here, you might be wanting to make the most of all that’s available, find new ways to shop locally more often and help Marsden thrive, or considering contributing to its vibrant community life by volunteering in some way, big or small.

Marsden is a wonderful place to visit for the day. Close to the Pennine Way, it’s surrounded by stunning moorland scenery but has its own station, regular bus service and the M62 is only 30 minutes away. Better still, why not build a holiday around this beautiful place?

So whether you’re a Marsdener or very welcome visitor, there’s something here for all.
